Today we are going to make a delicate floating tissue artwork.

We start off with a new document (1500x1000px) and fill the bg layer with any color. than apply a gradient to it (dbl click on the layer and select gradient colors #272a3c to #8fa9d3)

On a new layer grab a large soft brush and with a yellow color paint some dots on the layer.
Repete this with a red and blue, all on the same layer.

now ggo to filter/stylize/extrude and apply a blocks,40,40 to it.

press ctrl/f to repete the filter.

Now go to filter/brush strokes/accented edges

now press ctrl/j (duplicate layer) set the top layer blend mode to overlay and merge down (ctrl/e)

now duplicate once more ctrl/j and on the top layer apply the following filter;
filter/pixelate/mosaic
size 40

Now choose filter/brush strokes/accented edges
width 2
brightness 46
smoothness 6

press ctrl/f to repete this filter once.

Set the blend mode of this layer to lighten.

merge the layer with the one underneath (ctrl/e)

Now duplicate the layer (ctrl/j)
and hide the copy from view.

Now on the original layer press ctrl/t (transform) and resize it a bit (hold the shift key to keep the aspect ratio).
Press enter to apply and than choose edit/transform/warp.
and make a nice floating tissue shape of it.
(we have a backup layer of the tissue so don’t worry).

You can be quite drastic with warping. Now when done press ctrl/j to duplicat the layer and warp the shape again.

When done merge the two layers, duplicate the layer and warp the shape again.
When done merge the two layers, duplicate and warp once more.

Now add a new layer on top and set the layer blend mode to overlay. select a large soft bgush and press D to set the default bg/foreground colors.
first paint some dots on the parts that should be darkened a bit (shadow/further away bits). and than press x to swich the foreground/bg colors and with the white paint some dots on the bits that should be highlighted (foreground/close by).
when you want to add some darkness underneath the shape add a layer underneath to brush some dark spots on.

Now add a new layer on top (ctrl/shift/n)
and with the maruqee tool (M) select a large part of the right of the canvas. with red, blue and yellow paint some dots in the area with a large soft brush.
Make sure the area doesn’t get fille too much and remains transparent.

Now choose filter/pixelate/mosaic with size 40.

Deselect the area (ctrl/d) and apply filter/brush strokes/accented edges
width 2
brightness 46
smoothness 6

Press ctrl/f to repete the filter once.

Now select ctrl/l (levels) and copy the levels on the image.

Now duplicate the layer once.
